WHAT IS THE BEST AGE TO PHOTOGRAPH A NEWBORN?
The ideal age for a newborn session is when the baby is around 1-2 weeks of age. At this age, babies are still very sleepy and have not lost their womb-like curve.
MY BABY IS OLDER THAN TWO WEEKS, CAN I STILL HAVE A SHOOT?
Babies are beautiful at every age, and they will never be this little again. If you missed that short newborn stage, we can still capture beautiful images for you. It is usually still possible to take some sleepy, newborn-style images of babies up to 3 months.
WHEN IS BEST TO RESERVE A SESSION?
I recommend booking your session at least 2-3 months before your due date, ideally after your 20-week scan. However, if you have not pre-booked your spot, please contact me; I may have last-minute availability.
HOW LONG IS A NEWBORN SESSION?
My newborn sessions are approximately up to 2 hours, which allows plenty of time for you to relax and feed your baby as needed. I never rush newborn sessions.
ARE SIBLING AND FAMILY PHOTOS INCLUDED?
Absolutely! Family images are very important; my newborn sessions include both beautifully posed images of the baby and more relaxed lifestyle images of the entire family, including siblings.
CAN WE BRING OUR DOG?
As long as you let me know ahead of time, you are more than welcome to bring your fur baby. However, think about whether your dog will behave and be comfortable.
WHAT IF MY BABY IS FUSSY?
I have 10+ years of experience, trust me, everything will be ok. I promise I will create the most beautiful images for you, you have nothing to worry about, settling babies is part of my job.
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Newborn sessions will be held at my new studio in Pompano Beach - An up charge of $100 will be applied for at-home sessions starting 2025.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING AND WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
You will receive a detailed guide with information on what to bring for your session. You will not need to bring anything for the baby, I have lots of beautiful blankets and simple, but beautiful baby clothes. When choosing your wardrobe, I recommend staying within a neutral, light colour palette. If you are stuck, I have a few dresses that you can borrow.
WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
Because your baby and family are the main focus of all the images, sessions are styled in a modern and simple way. I love all things neutral and simple. Neutral colours and minimal use of props allow your baby to be the main focus and create timeless images. I love the feel of ’natural’; therefore, I focus on both intimate moments and posed portraits.
